Originally hailing from South London, UK, Wes Mather aka Amnesty has been instrumental in the rise of Drum and Bass throughout South East Asia over the past 10 years. Amnesty carved his career at the early age of 13 and founded the successful pirate radio station, KODE FM during the late 90s.
Currently based in Thailand, Amnesty continues to do what he loves and plays at some of the best DnB venues throughout Bangkok as well as holding a resident slot on the worldwide drum and bass radio station, BassDrive.com. Playing alongside some of the finest DJs and producers in the world such as Bryan Gee, A-Sides, Randall, Seba; he has forged his own weekly slot which regularly attracts thousands of listeners. For over 10 years he has been playing the finest rolling drum and bass gathering a huge fan base.
Amnesty has developed a reputation as a DJ that plays the best upfront rolling sounds. Being a resident of the world’s premier DnB radio station he has access to the latest tunes from across the scene which you can hear him play every Thursday and now as one of the residents of Bangkok’s freshest monthly Drum and Bass event.More recently, Amnesty has used his knowledge and understanding of the industry and applied it to production. Spending hours locked in his purpose built studio Amnesty now spends his time creating fresh sounds ready to unleash his own brand of rolling beats onto the world.
